I’ll keep this brief!
1) You’re invited to Wellness House in Hinsdale Thursday, March 1 at 7pm to Start the Conversation and Secure Your Care Preferences. We’re combining some programs due to a snow cancellation. We’re happy to be joined by our friend Dr. Jeremy Topin, an specialist in critical care, who will discuss how advance directives really work in tough scenarios.
2) Our annual report is out! In an effort to be concise (always tough!) we made an infographic you can read here.
3) Are you a nurse or do you work with them? We are happy to help. LMM is newly certified to provide continuing ed for nurses, and we started with a bang last week in a program for 140 oncology nurses from the ONS.
Reply to this email if you’re interested in scheduling a session.
4) We’ll be on CNBC’s American Greed….for all the right reasons, thankfully! At 9pm on Thursday, April 5, you’ll see the shocking true story of a brazen hospice con artist. Our Daniel Gaitan will be interviewed about his reporting on the man behind Illinois’ former Passages Hospice. Daniel will explain why what Passages was doing is so antithetical to quality end of life care and what we all can watch out for.
We’ll be hosting a “watch party” in Chicago’s West Loop, and you’re invited! Reply to this email to RSVP.
Read more about Passages here.
See you soon,
P.S: Get your Conversation t-shirt before time runs out! All proceeds head to providing assistance to families navigating end of life care. It’s a great look for National Health Care Decisions Day, April 16th!
Or…wear it to the Shamrock Shuffle! You can still join our running team… just let us know and we’ll get you started!
